A simple loop of polyester hollow braid secured with our SnakeSplice. This material is soft and grips ropes very well, much better than common accessory cord. I have found that the 6.4mm will hold my weight just fine on a 7mm cord with a three-wrap prussik hitch. This cord is very durable, with much greater flex-fatigue resistance than many manufactured prussik loops made from Technora or other Aramids. The 6.4mm loop will break at the carabiner, not the splice, avove 17kn. The 8mm loop will break somewhere in the mid-20's depending on the details of the carabiner.
