Backstory

RopeLite was born out of the desire to make better tools for vertical adventures. I have a varied background in ropework. Early in life I was a sailor and did a fair amount of work in the woods with trees and winches. Later I learned rock climbing and rope rescue. Fifteen years of climbing mountains and a dozen years of search and rescue experience have made me value tools that are strong, light, and easy to use. Eventually I started making things for these endeavors. Friends have been hounding me to start selling them, so I decided to give that a try. Every product is made to your specifications by a dedicated craftsman, who is committed to doing excellent work. Whenever I can I use materials made in the USA and I endeavor to waste as little as possible.  The goal is to make everything as light and strong as possible.
